The Lashings World XI will take on Apperley CC in a 35 over contest on Friday August 19th, starting at 2:30.
The event will the first time Lashings have appeared in the Gloucester area and could include stars such as Curtley Ambrose, Brian Lara, Graeme Hick and Gloucestershire Legends such as Courtney Walsh and Ian Harvey.
The club will be raising funds for Tewkesbury Hospital during the day as well as funds to complete and repair their existing cricket nets.
Brian Leeke, Club Chairman, “the Lashings World XI visit will be the highlight of our season and a great family day out. We expect it to be the best day in our club history since we played at Lords in the Village Knockout Final in 1998”
There will be corporate tables for sale in a marquee overlooking the ground and will include welcome drinks, 3 course meal and afternoon teas.
Ground admission will be £5 and £2 for children. Afternoon activities will be put on for children attending and there will be a casino and poker night after the match.
