Australia’s Hauritz and Hussey, ruled out at cricket World Cup

The Australian team was recently struggling, initially, upon defending their title for the upcoming World Cup after spinner Nathan Hauritz and batsman Michael Hussey were ruled out due to injuries.

National Selection Panel (NSP) chairman Andrew Hilditch said that the NSP received a complete briefing from the medical staff and based on the advice, the team has to replace the two injured cricketers in the Australian squad.

He added that they have applied to the Technical Committee of the ICC for Ferguson to replace Hussey since the former has a very good record and had played well in the one-day game opposing to England recently.

Hidlitch further said that they’ve also applied for Krejza to replace Hauritz since Jason had toured Indian with the team in 2008 and is said to have understood the conditions very well.
