You can watch the live streaming of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2013 on it’s official website.

BPL 2013 will begin on 18 January 2013 and the final will be played on 19 February. This season will feature seven teams, with the addition of the Rangpur Riders.

Dhaka Gladiators will take on Khulna Royal Bengals in an inaugural match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The BPL will host 45 matches in three different venues in Dhaka, Khulna and Chittagong.

This year you wont be able to watch any Pakistan player in the BPL as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refused to release any of its 27 sold players in retaliation to Bangladesh canceling Pakistan tour over safety issues.

The grand opening ceremony of the Bangladesh Premier League T20 tournament was held in Dhaka on Thursday.

President Zillur Rahman inaugurated the second edition of the competition at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.

Usain Bolt wants to play in Australia’s Big Bash League

The fastest man in the world, five-time World and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Usain Bolt is interested in playing with the Melbourne Stars for season two of the KFC T20 Big Bash League.

Melbourne Stars CEO, Clint Cooper, confirmed these conversations were 100% legitimate and there is every chance we could see Bolt donning the green and calling the MCG home come December.

“We are very excited by the prospect of the fastest man in the world wanting to align with the Melbourne Stars,” said Cooper.

“Usain is actually an accomplished cricketer, had he not taken up sprinting he was on his way to playing higher levels of cricket as a fast bowler.

“From all reports he has plenty of pace and can swing it a little too.

“He would certainly add some speed and energy to our lineup; maybe a whole new meaning to ‘quicks steaming in’.”

If Bolt was to join the Stars as one of their four possible international players it would be a huge coup for the BBL competition not just the team.

“The Big Bash League has already proven its ability to attract some of the world’s best cricketers but now there is the chance to also add one of the world’s greatest athletes to the books,” said Cooper.

“This would be an amazing feat as the competition would be sure to generate coverage and interest around the world.”

Currently Big Bash League teams are unable to enter into formal discussion with players until the result of memorandum of understanding (MOU) negotiations between Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers Association are finalised.

Once the MOU is decided and the player contracting window opens, the Stars will have an opportunity to have further discussions with Bolt and his management.

“Obviously there is a bit to work out but we will work closely with Cricket Australia once the MOU is finalised to hopefully make Usain Bolt become a reality for the Melbourne Stars,” said Cooper.
