Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has joined the Sydney Sixers for the Big Bash League.
Haddin is the second major Australian signing of the week, after the Sixers had secured the services of all-rounder Shane Watson.
Haddin, who is unlikely to be able to play in the entire competition because of international duties, is also looking forward to be a part of the Sixers.
“I have known Stuart a long time and I think that he has assembled a very talented squad,” said Haddin.
“I look forward to being part of that group of players and helping to develop a winning culture.”
“With the freshness of the competition and the high level of interest I think it will generate, I can’t wait to be part of what I think will be a strong team.”
Sydney Sixers General Manager, Stuart Clark is very happy to have Brad and thinks he is a great fit for the Sixers.
“Brad is a quality player and someone who will play a big part in our squad as a senior player. He brings a competitive edge and a winners outlook to our group of players, as well as dangerous hitting ability at the top of the order. I think he is a great fit for the Sixers”.
Haddin has played twenty three T20 Internationals for Australia, thirty six T20 domestic matches and he has also represented the Kolkata Knight Riders, in the Indian Premier League.
