Cricket Australia (CA) decides on donating $100,000 for the flood victims in Queensland and appeals to fans to also give the least that they could.
Jack Clarke, the chairman of CA, said that the natural disaster affected many Australians’ lives. He said that there’s nothing good in this current crisis but it’s been reassuring on seeing how strong the big community responds by offering some love and support to their fellow Aussies.
He further said that it’s been heartening on hearing of cricket clubs for him that they put sausage sizzle in order to raise funds, and there are fans who wanted to make donations. He added that Australian and English cricketers in both genders are also offering to extend their support.
