Chirayu Amin appointed as interim chairman, Lalit Modi suspended

The vice-president of the BCCI and the president of the Baroda Cricket Association, Chirayu Amin has been appointed as interim chairman of the Indian Premier League at a governing council meeting in Mumbai.

The decision of appointed Chirayu Amin as the interim chairman was unanimously taken by the members.

BCCI president Shashank Manohar said Lalit Modi’s suspension is vital for a free and fair inquiry.

BCCI has suspended Lalit Modi for alleged financial impropriety listing 22 allegations which include match fixing and betting in IPL games and helping his family and friends buy stakes in IPL teams.
