Pace men Trent Copeland and James Pattinson are called to the Prime Minister’s XI to play in Canberra next week.
The cricketers will be replacing Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, who will be missing the match on Monday at Manuka Oval due to an injury.
Alex Kountouris, the physitherapish of the Australian team, said that Hazlewood and Stark hadn’t recovered yet sufficiently to be able to fit for the play.
He said that Josh’s recovering from stress fractures from his lower back that were sustained earlier in summer.
Kountoris added that scans confirmed that the back problem of Hazlewood persisted and a long-time rest is required.
He further said that Star hasn’t also fully recovered from a side strain. However, he’s expected to play again later in summer.
