UPDATE: Margao weather, Rain delays start

India will take on Australia in the third and the final match of the of the three-match ODI series at the Nehru Stadium, Margao.

Rain might spoil the game as it has been raining in the city for the last few day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted ‘heavy rains’ on Sunday and Monday.

Australia are still to register a win in the tour, having lost the Test series 2-0 and going down in the Vishakhapatnam ODI. The first one-dayer at Kochi was also abandoned due to rain.

The Goans and the Goa Cricket Association (GCA) will be hoping that the third and final one-day international between India and Australia takes place as they are unlikely to get to see international matches anytime soon.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided not to allot international matches to state associations without their own ground and the rule will come into force from next year.

India lead the three-match ODI series by 1-0 as they beat Australia by five wickets in the second match at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium. The opening match was washed out due to rain.

All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the match from 8.30 A.M. onwards. Neo Cricket will live stream from 8.00 am.
