Former New South Wales Cricket Assistant Coach David Freedman has been appointed Cricket NSW’s State Talent Manager.
Freedman, who has been Assistant Coach of the RTA SpeedBlitz Blues for the past three years, will take over the role vacated by John Dyson.
Dyson is now General Manager of the newly formed Sydney Thunder in the KFC T20 Big Bash League.
Freedman will oversee the development of talented players within NSW and liaise closely with National Talent Manager, Greg Chappell.
His appointment also includes the role of Cricket NSW’s Chairman of Selectors.
Freedman is delighted with his appointment: “I have greatly enjoyed my time coaching within the Cricket NSW structure and I now look forward to continuing that link as State Talent Manager.”
“We have an outstanding crop of young talent within our squad, and it will be exciting to work with that group and to continue the great tradition of producing representative players from within our system.”
