Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the toss and elected to bat Deccan Chargers (DC) in the 68th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.
Cameron White replaces Kumar Sangakkara as captain of Deccan Chargers.
Sangakkara has been replaced by Chris Lynn, who makes his IPL debut for Deccan.
Dale Steyn has also been included in the playing XI.
Rajasthan Royals have replaced an injured Brad Hodge with Owais Shah.
Deccan Chargers captain, Cameron White, said “Sangakkara is just resting for this match and so I am in charge.
“We have to contribute as a team. We are going to give our best. The wicket is very good and we would have batted first.
“Chris Lynn comes into the side today and Dale Steyn is playing today.”
Rajasthan Royals captain, Rahul Dravid, said “The spirit in the team has been fantastic. We have shown some good performances and we need to finish on a high.
“The last couple of games have been very good for us. We needed to get more runs with the bat but the bowlers have stood up well in the last 4-5 games.
“We are going to bat first. We like to set a total and this suits our team well.
“Owais Shah replaces the injured Brad Hodge.”
