Friends Life t20 quarter-final schedule confirmed

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed the quarter-final fixtures for the 2011 Friends Life t20 competition.

The Friends Life t20 quarter-finals begin on Saturday August 6 at Grace Road with Leicestershire Foxes taking on Kent Spitfires.

Leicestershire are through to the knock out stages of a Twenty20 competition for the first time since 2006 when they defeated Nottinghamshire Outlaw to lift the trophy.

Somerset will travel to Trent Bridge, Nottingham on August 7 to face Nottinghamshire Outlaws in the first of two quarter-finals to be played on Sunday.

Defending champions Hampshire Royals will take on Durham Dynamos in the second quarter-final of the day at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.

The fourth quarter-final will take place at The County Ground, Hove on Monday August 8 with 2009 winners Sussex Sharks playing Lancashire Lightning, who have not progressed beyond the quarter-finals since 2007.

• Sunday 7 August, 1700: Hampshire Royals vs Durham Dynamos, The Rose Bowl, Southampton.
• Monday 8 August, 1910: Sussex Sharks vs Lancashire Lightning, The County Ground, Hove.
