A statement published on the website of Zimbabwe Cricket says that Grant Flower, the batsman of the Zimbabwean team, retires from the cricket Test for the 2nd time in order to concentrate on his job as the batting coach of the country.
The 40-year-old said that he has drawn the line and there’s enough talent coming in and he doesn’t want keep anyone back. He added that he had a great run and he enjoyed it. He said, however, that there’s a transition from a player to a coach and he said that it’s already time to take it.
Initially retired in 2004 from the International Cricket, Flower boasted in the 1st Test side match of Zimbabwe opposing to Pakistan in the year 1992. He had hit a career-best 201 not out winning the said match by an innings.
