The Hobart Hurricanes have signed batsman Mark Cosgrove up for the inaugural KFC Big Bash League.
Mark James Cosgrove is a left-handed batsman and part-time medium pace bowler, who is contracted with the Tasmania for the 2010–11 season.
Rhett Lockyear, Evan Gulbis and Matthew Johnston have also been signed by Hobart Hurricanes.
They have been included in the line-up which already contains Tim Paine, Xavier Doherty, Rana Naved, Travis Birt and Michael Hogan.
Hurricanes coach Ali de Winter said he was thrilled to gain the services of the Hobart-based quartet.
“We believe we are covering all our bases and are developing a really well balanced squad that will be competitive against all opposition”, de Winter said.
Local boy Rhett Lockyear said he is excited by the opportunity to be part of the Hurricanes and make his mark in the new KFC T20 Big Bash League.
“The shorter form of the game really suits my style of cricket so I am really looking forward to being apart of it all,” Lockyear said.
