The inclusion of Piyush Chawla in the World Cup squad of India raises many eyebrows, however, he defended his selection by telling that he’s nothing to prove to the critics and his performance will just speak for itself in the upcoming World Cup.
Chawla said that there’s always pressure when playing for India so when there’s pressure, there’s performance. He said that he has nothing to prove at all since he has proven himself already several times and he will be doing it again in the WC.
Represented India in two ODIs since July 2008, Chawla has added that whenever a opportunity is provided to him, he gives his very best for India, for the country,
Dhoni, Indian skipper, had also justified the selection of Chawla in the squad by saying that the latter has brought in more variety to the bowling attack.
