Former Captain Saurav Ganguly has once again lashed out at Michael Vaughan, the former England captain, for gloating over India’s loss in the Test series.
“I think Vaughan has gone completely mad,” Ganguly said.
“He needs to show a doctor. If Vaughan is listening to this, Mate you have been in similar situation.
“You got a 5-0 drubbing in Australia and that attack was very ordinary. You got a 3-0 drubbing in India where the ball spun and you looked all at sea. Yes we agree that we have played very poorly.
“I remember the last time when you were the captain, we came here and beat you here. We have had our good times. I hope you are listening. Being a cricketer you don’t expect these kind of comments.”
In reply to Sourav’s comments, Vaughan tweeted, “(Ganguly) said I am mad and need to see a doctor. All because I thought England were a better team..#4-0 am I wrong?.”
Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff replied to Vaughan saying , “At last Sourav is talking sense ! Get to the doctor.”
Earlier, Former Indian captains Sunil Gavaskar and Sourav Ganguly had slammed Michael Vaughan for kicking up the ‘vaseline controversy’ unnecessarily, terming the comments by the Vaughan as “ridiculous”.
Vaughan had tweeted that Laxman might have used vaseline on the edge of his bat to avoid detection by the hot spot technology.
