On Sunday, The ICC, International Cricket Council, showed their happiness with the Pakistan Cricket Board’s press to adopt measures of anti-corruption.
The ICC said in a statement that the progress reported by the PCB impressed the Pakistan Task Team (PTT).
Haroon Lorgat, ICC Chief Executive, said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) clearly recognizes that protecting the cricket’s integrity is imperative and the progress reported really impressed them.
He added that the team’s willingness on playing is critical to the international cricket’s future. And he said that they’ve presented an evident determination on tackling all the challenges.
Giles Clarke, ICC Director and Chairman, also said that they must congratulate the PCB chairman and the team for speeding up on adopting the ICC Board’s recommendations. He said that PCB’s statements and actions encouraged everyone and they hope that the team will continue it.
Ijaz Butt, PCB chairman, said that the PCB is determined on implementing ICC’s recommendations. He said that they’re committed to a zero-tolerance approach to corruption.
