India Team for ODI Tri-Series in Australia
Indian have named the ODI squad that will take on Australia and Sri Lanka in the tri-series.
Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan, both who have not played ODI cricket since the World Cup final in April last, were named in the squad.
Praveen Kumar, the India medium-pacer who missed the Tests due to a fractured rib, will also join the squad for the ODIs.
Irfan Pathan, who played his first international for India in more than two years during that ODI series against West Indies at home in December last year, has retained his place in the squad.
Rahul Sharma, the legspinner who impressed during the series against West Indies, has been picked to be the second spinner alongside R Ashwin.
Yuvraj Singh was not included in the squad as he is still recovering from lung tumour. Harbhajan Singh was also left out due to injury.

in australia they dont have watson, jhonson, katich,tait, etc. but they winning in tests we have all the players with fit.. first we have to stop drawbacks and find the way to winning with this selected guys these people also well experienced cricketers…very carefull to pick up paying 11 means easyly we will win….all the best for indian team… jai ho…

Vinay kumar is the only person who doesnt match the team nothing special in him some one told ashwin is wrong selection its not correct he can bowl in speed tracks also and parthiv is a replacment for keeping if dhoni gets injured all the best team india and last but not least sachin will toch 100th ton

Good team selected. But need some changes like drop sachin and pick rahane. Viru & gauti is gud openers for long time. Yuvi & Rahane are really missing in the squad. Infact rahane is the future opener for the test matches, so he need the chances in home & overseas.
This is my future test squad for india in 2013. Viru(C),rahane,gauti(VC),kohli,tiwary or rohit,raina,saha(WC),irfan or aaron,rahul sharma,praveen and zaheer. How many of u accept this team?

Sachin should be there for opening in T20 will give us a better start where viru should be dropped for last T20 match atleast if we want victory in T20 format in this tour and last we need to have a better strategy before commencing of Tri-series, we should not forget to Srilanka who is one of the strongest team in world cricket n let it Australia…
