5th ODI: Sri Lanka win toss, elect to bat‎

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and decided to bat against India in the fifth match of the ODI tri-series at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday.


India have made two changes to their side, Sachin Tendulkar has replaced Virender Sehwag, who has a back problem, while Irfan Pathan replaces Zaheer Khan, who has a calf muscle strain.

Sri Lanka have also made couple of changes in their side. Thishara Perera and Rangana Herath are in, while Injured Dhammika Prasad and Thirimanne were dropped for this crucial game.

India go into the match with back-to-back wins, while Sri Lanka has lost its opening two games in the Tri-Series.

India: Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (c), Ravinder Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Vinay Kumar, Irfan Pathan and Umesh Yadav.

Sri Lanka: Tillakaratne Dilshan, Upul Tharanga, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene (c), Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Sachithra Senanayake, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Thisara Perera, Dhammika Prasad and Lahiru Thirumanne.
