Jacques Rudolph returns to Yorkshire

Jacques Rudolph will return to the Yorkshire County Cricket Club as an overseas player for the remainder of the 2011 season. He has received clearance from the ECB, and his first match will hopefully be the home LV County Championship match against Lancashire, starting July 20.

Martyn Moxon, Yorkshire’s Director of Professional Cricket, said: “Jacques is a hugely respected and popular player and we have missed his contribution in all forms of the game this season”.

“The entire Club is very pleased to welcome him back and we look forward to his runs lifting the team in the remaining matches.”

Prior to being released from his contract at the end of the 2010 season, Jacques had been at Headingley Carnegie for four seasons since joining as a Kolpak player in 2007.

He scored over 1,000 first class runs every season whilst amassing an impressive total of 8,629 runs in all competitions for the White Rose.
