England batsman Kevin Pietersen has extended his contract with Surrey County Cricket Club until the end of his Central Contract with England.
Pietersen first signed for the club on loan at the end of the 2010 season before signing a full one year deal in 2011. His new contract will keep him at the Kia Oval for the remainder of his International career.
Kevin Pietersen said, “Surrey is a fantastic club and I have been really impressed with the environment and work ethic in place. Their recent success is well deserved and I look forward to working with them in 2012.”
In 2011, Pietersen turn out for Surrey in two first-class and two Twenty20 games, captaining the club in early May for a match against Cambridge MCCU.
He was also in the runs at the Kia Oval later in the season when he hit a memorable 175 in the final Test Match against India.
