Fast bowler Lasith Malinga and opening batsman Upul Tharanga have been included in Sri Lanka’s 16-man squad for the first three one-day internationals against Australia.
Malinga is back after recovering from the back injury which kept him out of the two Twenty20 matches against Australia, while Tharanga returns following a three-month suspension for the use of a banned drug.
Shaminda Eranga, a 26-year-old right arm fast bowler, is the only uncapped member picked in the squad.
Dhammika Prasad and Dilruwan Perera, who were a part of the Twenty20 squad, were left out.
The first ODI of the five-match series will be played at Kandy’s Pallekele stadium on Wednesday
