The start of play in the third and final ODI between India and Australia at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao on Sunday has been delayed due to wet outfield.
The sun is shining in Goa but a wet outfield has forced the umpires and the match referee Chris Broad to inspect the ground again at 11:00 AM IST.
The ground staff are working hard to clear the ground and if the sun continues to shine then we can surely aspect a match with reduced overs.
Ravi Shastri says the sun needs to be out for at least three to four hours to ensure we get a game. There will be an inspection from Chris Broad at 11 am and we will know after that when play will start.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted ‘heavy rains’ on Sunday and Monday.
