Rajasthan win toss, opt to field against Mumbai

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl against Mumbai Indians in the twelth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.

Sachin Tendulkar has not yet recovered from the finger injury which he sustained during the opening game against Chennai Super Kings on April 4.

Mumbai Indians has named an unchanged XI, while Rajasthan Royals have made made one change with Brad Hodge making way for Brad Hogg.

Rajasthan Royals captain, Rahul Dravid, said “Most impressive thing has been the performance of the youngsters. We don’t have big names like Mumbai Indian or other teams, but we have some good youngsters who are eager to make a mark.

“More than preparation, it’s about conserving your energy. The physios and the support staff have an important role in getting the team ready.

“We have a good, small team and we’re enjoying it. People feel comfortable chasing, but it depends on the wicket. The dew factor affects it as well. It’s exciting for me to give the opportunities to youngsters and see how they go.”

Mumbai Indians captain, Harbhajan Singh, said “Last game was a little difficult, but it’s great to be back in Mumbai.

“The finger is still quite sore but it’s great of him [Sachin Tendulkar] to be with the team. His presence in the dressing room is a big boost, hopefully he’s ready for the next game.

“We would have batted first. It’s always an advantage to play at home.”
