New Zealand allrounder Nathan McCullum has joined the Sydney Sixers squad in Adelaide as a replacement for fellow international player Dwayne Bravo.
McCullum will be available for the Sixers’ remaining games in the first season of the KFC T20 Big Bash League.
McCullum has represented New Zealand in both One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals.
McCullum has a bowling average of 15.03 and is more than a handy batsman down the order – averaging 21.12 with a strike rate of over one hundred.
McCullum will team up with the rest of the Sydney Sixers squad when they take on the Adelaide Strikers on Tuesday night.
McCullum will return to New Zealand on Wednesday and be available for the rest of the Otago Volts HRV Cup campaign including the two must win games against Canterbury and Auckland at the University Oval this Friday and Sunday respectively.
McCullum will then play in his first home game for the Sixers when the Sydney Sixers take on the Perth Scorchers at the SCG on January 18.
Nathan McCullum’s younger brother and Otago teammate Brendon has played three games for the Brisbane Heat.
