1st ODI: England win toss, bat against Pakistan

England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and chose to bat in the first ODI against Pakistan at Abu Dhabi Stadium on Monday.

Pakistan are playing with the same side that beat Afghanistan by seven wickets in the only one-day played in Sharjah on Friday.

Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik are in  the Pakistan squad, along Hammad Azam, Taufiq Umar and Mohammed Talha.

England have made six changes from the squad that lost the test series 3-0.

Craig Kieswetter, Jonny Bairstow, Jade Dernbach, Danny Briggs, Samit Patel and Jos Buttler have all come in for the ODI series.

England team: Alastair Cook(c), Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Ravi Bopara, Eoin Morgan, Craig Kieswetter(w), Samit Patel, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Graeme Swann, Steven Finn.

Pakistan team: Misbah-ul-Haq(c), Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Asad Shafiq, Younis Khan, Umar Akmal(w), Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz.
