Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting has signed up with the Hobart Hurricanes for the upcoming KFC T20 Big Bash League.
Ponting is really excited to represent him home state and is looking farward to play with somw other great players in the Hurricanes.
“There has been a lot of talk and discussion between all of the boys over the last few weeks about who has signed where and I’m really excited about the prospect of playing with some great players in the Hurricanes colours.
“We have a good mix of some local players and players from interstate and I think our squad is coming together really well.
“It’s always nice to represent your home state when you can and this is a great opportunity to play some exciting cricket in front of the passionate Hobart fans,” Ponting said.
Tim Paine, Xavier Doherty, Rana Naveed, Travis Birt, Michael Hogan, Mark Cosgrove, Rhett Lockyear, Evan Gulbis, and Matt Johnston have all joined Hobart Hurricanes.
