Australian captain Ricky Ponting will be undergoing a surgery on the little finger of his left hand so he can still be able to join the World Cup next month and can still be able to prolong his career.
The 36-eyar-old said that he just wants to keep playing that he has made it clear not just this week but also throughout the summer. He further said that he has still got lots to offer not just as a player but also as the Australian team captain and he faithfully wants to continue to do it.
Pointing played the 4th test in Melbourne. And since he didn’t bat with comfort, he was ruled out of the 5th and the last match. So he is missing the ongoing 5th Ashes test opposing to England in Sydney, Australia.
