Deccan Chargers (DC) have won the toss and elected to bat against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the twentieth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
Rajasthan Royals have replaced injured Shreevats Goswami with wicketkeeper-batsman Dishant Yagnik.
Deccan Chargers replace Cameron White with J P Duminy, while Tanmay Mishra and Abhishek Jhunjhunwala are included in the playing XI.
Deccan Chargers captain, Kumar Sangakkara, said “It is great to have such a long break in the IPL but we have been training quite hard.
“Rohit Sharma was unbelievable in the previous game against us but we know now how to get into winning positions and this time we would like to finish it off.”
“I don’t want to look at scores that much. But it looks like a good wicket and we want to get some runs on the board and bat well.
“We are hungry for victory but we can’t get too desperate otherwise we might make some mistakes.
“Cameron White misses out and Duminy comes in.”
Rajasthan Royals captain, Rahul Dravid, said “Rahane has been sensational for us and he has been a fantastic cricketer over the years. He has played for India for a bit and has been left out after that. I’m sure he will get a permanent place in the side.
“I think he has a lot more talent than I had at his age. The key for him is to keep learning and keep improving. He has a good head on his shoulders.”
“It looks like a good wicket. This should be a good challenge for the boys bowling first. We didn’t bowl too well againt Mumbai and hopefully we can rectify that here.
“Srivats Goswami has picked up an injury during the warm up so Ishant Yagnik will take his place.”
Rajasthan Royals have won three games out of five they played in this season while Deccan Chargers are still looking for a win.
