Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat against Kolkata Knight Riders in the fifteenth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 at the Eden Garden Stadium on Friday.
Kolkata Knight Riders have included leg-spinner Sunil Narine for fast bowler Brett Lee.
Rajasthan Royals have picked batsman Brad Hodge ahead of all-rounder Kevon Cooper.
Kolkata Knight Riders captain, Gautam Gambhir, said “It was important to get off the mark with a win. We will hope to continue with the momentum.
“It is difficult to choose 4 foreign players out of our bunch. Lovely to play in front of the home crowd.
“I would have batted first as well. Just one change for us. Narine will come in place of Brett Lee.”
Rajasthan Royals captain, Rahul Dravid, said “It is tiring to travel but we have had some good fun. We have had a lot of travel to do over the last few days.
“The pitch here is usually on the slower side. We have a pretty young bowling attack and we need to give them some time. The wicket looks dry and we would love to bat first.
“We need to assess the situation and need to score around 150. Kevon Cooper is injured and will be replaced by Brad Hodge.”
Royals have four points from three matches while Kolkata have two from the same number of matches played.
