Ryder withdraws from tour match against Pakistan

Jesse Ryder, batsman of New Zealand, will be missing the 3-day tour match opposing to Pakistan after encountering an injury in his shoulder.

Initially part of the named New Zealand 11 last Friday, Ryder has withdrawn on medical advice.

Beginning in Whangarei on Sunday, the said match is a warm-up for the 2 test series which will be starting on January 7 in Hamilton.

The New Zealand Cricket said in a statement that Ryder, 26, had been suffering an inflamed shoulder during the 3rd T20 international opposing to Pakistan.

Nevertheless, the shoulder injury of Ryder isn’t expected to be that significant at its stage but the medical staff wanted to assure that it’s settled so that the batsman doesn’t burden a past elbow injury.
