Sachin Tendulkar likely to play last two ODIs against West Indies

Sachin Tendulkar, who failed to reach the milestone despite coming close at least twice during the Test series, might be selected for the last two matches of the ongoing ODI series when national selectors on Monday.

If reports are to believed then Tendulkar, who had been rested from the squad for the first three matches, wants to play the remaining two matches of the series scheduled on December 8 and 11 in Indore and Chennai respectively.

Tendulkar’s last scored a century  on March 12 during a World Cup group league match against South Africa at Nagpur. It has been more than eight months that the entire nation has been waiting for the 100th hundred.

Indian team for the last two ODIs against the West Indies and Praveen Kumar’s replacement for the Australia tour will be named on 5 December 2011, when the selectors meet in Ahmedabad.
