Pakistan’s off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has moved to third position in the Reliance ICC Player Rankings for ODI bowlers. This is for the first time that Saeed Ajmal has broken into the top three in his career.
Saeed Ajmal took six wickets in the series which Pakistan won by 3-2. He has climbed 16 places to get to the third position and is just five points behind Zimbabwe’s left-arm spinner Ray Price.
The top four in the list are all spinners – New Zealand’s Daniel Vettori is leading, Zimbabwe’s left-arm spinner Ray Price in second, Saeed Ajmal at third and England’s Graeme Swann at fourth position.
Pakistan’s captain Shahid Afridi has dropped out of the top 10. He was only able to take just two wickets which resulted in him slipping five places to 14th position.
The latest player rankings were released after the conclusion of West Indies and Pakistan ODI series in Guyana.
