Western Australia Team officials say that Sajid Mahmood, the fast bowler of England and Lancashire, joins them for the Twent20 ‘Big Bash’ domestic competition.
The 28-year-old fast bowler will be replacing WA’s T20 contracted player Kemar Roach after the West Indian pace man wasn’t available of the Caribbean’s domestic commitments.
Played 4 T20 internationals for England, Mahmood is going to big-hit an outstanding fielder and lower-order batsman.
WA coach Mickey Arthur said in an interview that Mahmood is really a genuine strike bowler, who will be shaking up the rival’s batsmen. He said that that he’s a capable batter who hits the ball in a long way.
Arthur added that Mahmood is also really great in the field so he’s confident that he has offered them the complete package of a player.
Involving all 6 states of Australia, the ‘Big Bash’ series will run from the 30th of December until the final 5th of February.
