Cricket Scotland has announced the squad for the coming Tri-series with Sri Lanka and Ireland. Scotland will play against Ireland on July 12, followed by a match against Sri Lanka the next day.
The selectors made few changes to the side that that beat Netherlands 2-0 in the recently concluded series. Alasdair Evans has been left out to include Ryan Flannigan who has recently been in good domestic form. Wicketkeeper Simon Smith has also been left out.
Coach Pete Steindl said, “As a squad we are all looking forward to the challenges that Ireland and Sri Lanka will bring. We will be looking to improve on our performances from last week and show similar fighting spirits”.
” I feel we have selected a well balanced squad and all the players have been working extremely hard and rightfully earned their place to represent their country”.
