Sourav Ganguly can still play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 4. The doors have been indirectly opened by Sri Lanka Cricket who have called back their players to prepare for the England tour.
Sri Lankan batsman Mahela Jayawardene who is the skipper of Kochi Tuskers Kerala is most likely to leave for Sri Lanka in the first week of May for the upcoming tour of England.
Kochi Tuskers Kerala indicated they could opt for Sourav Ganguly if their skipper Mahela Jayardena has to return home.
Kochi Tuskers had also asked for Sourav Ganguly as a replacement for injured Steve Smith but were unable to as Smith’s base price of $200,000 was lower than that of Ganguly’s $400,000.
