Skipper Kumar Sangakkara says that Sri Lanka missed out home advantage after they have been refused an opportunity to have their trainings at the two new venues for the World Cup due to the constructions delays.
The hopes of Sri Lanka to get the other new facility’s feel in Pallekele, Kandy’s central district, were also destroyed because of the same problem.
After finishing a win in the one-day series opposing to the West Indies, Sangakkara said they’d love to have their training at all grounds but they are in need of proper facilities to practice.
He added that the venues should have side practice wickets, gym since it’d be difficult for them if there’s none.
Sangakkara further said that however, the things are what they are, so they already had accepted the fact that the team has to play the World Cup matches on the said grounds regardless of too much knowledge about the conditions.
