Caribbean T20 2013 Schedule & Fixtures

The 2013 Caribbean Twenty20 will be the fourth season of the Caribbean Twenty20, a domestic Twenty20 tournament administered by the West Indies Cricket Board.

Caribbean T20 2013 will be played from 5 to 19 January 2013.

In this season no overseas team has been invited only the seven West Indies first-class teams will take part in tournament.

Caribbean T20 2012, Day 12 – Highlights

Caribbean T20 2012 Final: Jamaica vs Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad & Tobago beat Jamaica by 70 runs in the finals of the Caribbean Twenty20 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

West Indies allrounders Dwayne Bravo hit 49, while Kieron Pollard smashed an unbeaten 39 off 13 balls as Trinidad & Tobago posted 168-6 off 20 overs.

Legspinner Odean Brown was the pick of the bowlers for Jamaica with three for 22 off four overs. Sheldon Cotterrell, Andre Russell and David Bernard picked up a wicket apiece.

In reply, Jamaica managed to score only 105 for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

Wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh Junior (39 not-out), captain David Bernard (25) and Shawn Findlay (17 not-out) scored most runs for Jamaica.

3rd place play-off: Barbados vs Windward Islands

Windward Islands beat Barbados by seven wickets in the third-place game of the Caribbean Twenty20 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

Left-arm pacer Delorn Johnson claimed 5-5, the best ever figures in regional Twenty20 history, as the Barbados was bowled out for 101 in 20 overs

In reply, Andre Fletcher and Devon Smith had a second-wicket stand of 67  and ensured the target was chased down comfortably with 13 balls to spare.

Caribbean T20 2012, Day 11 – Highlights

Windward Islands vs Jamaica

Jamaica defeated the Windward Islands by five-wickets in the first semi-final of the 2012 Caribbean Twenty20 tournament at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown.

Windwards, who had won four games on the trot in the lead-up to the semis, were restricted to 98-8 off 20 overs by Jamaica.

Wicketkeeper Lindon James topscored with 37 not out and opener Johnson Charles scored 29. Leg-spinner Odean Brown and left-arm seamers Sheldon Cotterell and Krishmar Santokie each claimed two wickets.

In reply, Jamaica lost three wickets for three runs, slipping from 33 for no loss to 36 for 3. Captain David Bernard (22), Nkrumah Bonner (19) and Marlon Samuels (16) made important contribution as their team won with two overs to spare.

Barbados vs Trinidad & Tobago

Defending champions Trinidad & Tobago beat Barbados by five-wickets in the second semi-final of the 2012 Caribbean Twenty20 tournament at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown.

Barbados, after choosing to bat, were bowled out for  just 90 runs with spinners with all-rounder Dwayne Bravo taking 3-23, while Sunil Narine (2-10) and Samuel Badree (2-11)  chipped in with two wickets each.

In reply, Trinidad & Tobago were reduced to 45 for 5 at one stage but Kieron Pollard’s quickfire 31 from 23 balls with help of three fours and two sixes saw Trinidad & Tobago progress to the finals.

Pollard shared an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 48 with Jason Mohammed (11 not out).

The final between Jamaica and T&T will be played on January 22. Barbados play Windwards for the third-place play-off on the same day.

Caribbean T20 2012, Day 10 – Highlights

Jamaica vs Netherlands

Jamaica reached the semi-finals of the Caribbean Twenty20 tournament after beating Netherlands by eight-wicket at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

Krishmar Santokie took 4 for 13 as the Netherlands were dimissed for 116 in 19.4 overs. Eric Szwarcynski (44) and Stephan Myburgh (31) gave the Netherlands’ innings a decent platform but Jamaica claimed the last six wickets for only six runs.

In reply, Jamaica reached the target with 16 balls to spare. Opener Nkrumah Bonner top scored with 35 while Marlon Samuels and Shawn Findlay guided their side home with an unbeaten stand of 51.

Barbados vs Combined Campuses and Colleges

Barbados, who had already qualified for the final four, beat Combined Campuses and Colleges by nine wickets at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

Barbados bowled out Combined Campuses & Colleges for just 76 off 20 overs and got to victory at 81-1 off just 10 overs.

Barbados lost an early wicket but captain Kirk Edwards and Kevin Stoute added 74 unbroken off 57 balls as Barbados won easily.
