ICC T20 World Cup 2014 Schedule and Fixtures

The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from 16 March to 6 April 2014.

It will be played in three cities — Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet.

Bangladesh will host the tournament as announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2010. It will be second and consecutive time that an Asian country will host this event, as Sri Lanka hosted the previous tournament in 2012.

ICC Champions Trophy 2013 Final Live Streaming

You can watch the live streaming of ICC Champions Trophy 2013,  to be held in England and Wales between 6 and 23 June 2013, online on Star Sports website.

The 2013 ICC Champions Trophywill be contested by eight teams that which are seeded and divided into two groups. Each team play every other team in its group once.

The top two teams from each group progresses to the semi-finals, where the winner of Group A plays the runner-up of Group B (in the first semi-final) and the winner of Group B plays the runner-up of Group A (in the second semi-final). The winners of the semi-finals contest the final.

ICC T20 World Cup 2012 Team Of The Tournament

The ICC T20 World Cup 2012 men’s team of the tournament was announced in Colombo, with Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardena named as captain.

There are three players from beaten finalist Sri Lanka and two from champion West Indies while Australia, India, England, New Zealand and Pakistan are also represented in the 12-man squad.

Virat Kohli was the lone Indian cricketer to find a place in the men’s XI. Suresh Raina was named 12th man of the team.

The panel faced a difficult choice in a number of key positions and the relative merits of several players, who ultimately did not make the final 12, were debated at length.

Players who were considered included AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn of South Africa, David Warner of Australia, Tillakaratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Smith and Sunil Narine of the West Indies.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has launched the official event website for the ICC T20 World Cup 2012 to be staged in Sri Lanka between September 18 and October 7.

icc-cricket.com will have all the latest information on the tournament.

It will have video highlights from all matches in the tournament, including the men’s and women’s event, as well as behind the scenes interviews with all the teams and leading players.

“The ICC World Twenty20 is the most eagerly awaited event in the cricket calendar in 2012 and we are excited to be able to provide fans with a world-class website to follow the tournament,” said Campbell Jamieson, the ICC’s General Manager, Commercial.

The match centre will allow fans to follow live ball-by-ball coverage of all warm-up and event matches from the men’s and women’s tournaments.

ICCArchive.com is the definitive online search engine of all past ICC Events. From the ICC Champions Trophy 1998 right up to the ICC World Twenty20 2010 in the Caribbean.

The archive serves as a dual purpose site, firstly it gives journalists, documentary and film makers the opportunity to access and buy archive for their projects.
