Virender Sehwag scored a brilliant double century against West Indies in their fourth One-Day International match at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
Sehwag scored 219 runs from 149 with help of 25 fours and 7 sixes before getting caught out by A Martin on the bowling of Kieron Pollard.
Sehwag’s previous ODI best was 175 against Bangladesh in Dhaka in February.
Sehwag has now become the second man to reach a double-century in ODIs after Sachin Tendulkar and first to go past 200 runs.
Sachin Tendulkar was the first men to score a double century in an ODI. He scored 200* against South Africa at Gwalior, India.
Sehwag has also past the 8,000-run mark in ODIs
